Solutions We Support

Sustainability

At Life Color Pigments & Masterbatches, sustainability is embedded in the way we manufacture and innovate. We are committed to responsible manufacturing practices by optimizing material utilization, minimizing waste generation, and improving energy efficiency across our production processes. By combining premium-quality raw materials with advanced compounding technologies, we deliver masterbatches and pigments that offer superior dispersion, consistent quality, and enhanced processing efficiency for our customers.

A significant contribution of our products lies in the recycling industry, where our masterbatches are extensively used to enhance the quality, appearance, and performance of recycled plastic materials. Designed to withstand demanding processing conditions, our solutions provide excellent durability, color consistency, and reliable performance, enabling manufacturers to produce high-quality recycled products without compromising on efficiency or aesthetics. By supporting consistent processing and improving the value of recycled plastics, our masterbatches play an important role in advancing circular manufacturing and promoting the wider adoption of recycled materials across industries.

Driven by innovation, quality, and continuous improvement, Life Color Pigments & Masterbatches remains dedicated to developing solutions that not only meet the evolving needs of the plastics industry but also contribute to a more sustainable and resource-efficient future.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a masterbatch help with sustainability?

In two ways. It makes recycled material usable, by covering a variable base colour and restoring processing behaviour so recyclate can go into a product people will actually buy. And it reduces waste at your end, because a pre-dispersed pellet gives fewer colour rejects and less start-up scrap than dosing dry pigment. See Recycling Masterbatches and masterbatch for recycled and PCR plastic.

What is the hardest part of using recycled plastic?

Colour, almost always. Post-consumer material carries a variable grey-brown base that shifts lot to lot, so a shade approved on one batch will not hold on the next unless the input is controlled. Deep shades and black masterbatch cover it easily; clean pastels and bright whites are the genuinely difficult cases. See White Masterbatches for what is achievable on opacity.

Can you help with odour in recycled material?

Yes, on two fronts. Odour-management additives neutralise or mask residues carried through from the material's previous life, and Fragrance Masterbatches can be used where an actively pleasant scent is wanted. Neither substitutes for good washing and devolatilisation upstream — they handle what remains.

Does using recycled content mean accepting worse quality?

Not necessarily, but it does mean matching the material to the application honestly. Thick-walled, non-critical, dark products take high recyclate fractions with no visible compromise. Thin-walled, load-bearing or surface-critical parts take much less. The practical approach is to step the ratio up in trials and find where your reject rate turns. See Recycling Masterbatches.

How do you reduce waste in your own manufacturing?

By optimising material utilisation, minimising waste generation and improving energy efficiency across production. Pre-dispersed masterbatch also shifts waste out of the customer's plant: fewer off-shade batches and less purge than dosing dry pigment. Read more about us and see our certifications.

Which industries are you supporting with recycled-content masterbatch?

Mainly packaging, building and construction, furniture, household goods and automotive — the sectors where recycled content is either commercially attractive or now being required by customers. The agriculture and water tanks and pipes sectors also use it in non-critical components.

Do you supply sustainable masterbatch in India?

Yes. Life Color Pigments & Masterbatches is a sustainable masterbatch manufacturer in India, supplying colour and additive solutions for recycled and PCR plastics from Vasai East, Palghar, Maharashtra. Read more about us or contact us.

Tell us what recycled content you are trying to use and what is stopping you — colour, odour, processability or properties — and we will send a sample formulated against your actual material.
